
Obituary of Darlene R. Sherman
WARRENSBURG: Darlene Sherman, 71, of Warrensburg passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Glens Falls Hospital following a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Darlene was born November 24, 1953 to the late Carl and Bessie French. She graduated Warrensburg Central School in 1971. She then worked at Continental Insurance before she began raising her two children. She inherited her mother’s superb cooking skills and her father’s sense of humor. She enjoyed flowers and spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed her trips to Maine and a good cup of steaming hot coffee. Darlene was a devoted member of the Warrensburg Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was an excellent caregiver and spent many years caring for her parents.
She was predeceased by both her parents as well as her son, Bruce H. Sherman.
Darlene is survived by her daughter, Carla Sherman and her siblings, Stephen French (Nancy), Tammy Fish, and Melissa French (Annie). She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Dustin, Audrey and Calista Steves, Karley Barber-Sherman, Alex Sherman and Juliette Fuller and her daughter-in-law Keri Sherman along with many extended family members.
Darlene’s family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Yun, Dr. D’Agostino, Dr. Dibrito and Dr. DaConti and the entire staff of the CR Wood Cancer Center and Glens Falls Hospital Emergency Room as well as the many friends and family who supported her over the last year and a half.

Friends may call on Darlene’s family from Noon – 2pm, Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg, NY. Burial will follow visitation in Warrensburg Cemetery.
A memorial talk will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, 2pm, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 69 Schroon River Rd., Warrensburg, NY.
