SARATOGA SPRINGS:  Patricia J. Wilber, 86 years old of Saratoga Springs, previously of Queensbury and Schroon Lake, NY, passed away on May 20, 2025 at Albany Medical Center.

Pat was born on August 14, 1938, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Daniel “Ray” and Marie “Betty” (Baker) Comish. During her early years, the family moved frequently before eventually settling on Paradox Lake, New York. Pat graduated from Schroon Lake Central School. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, John A. Wilber, who was working for her parents. The two were married on September 27, 1959.

Pat held various jobs throughout the Schroon Lake area over the years, and in 1985, she proudly returned to school and earned her associate degree from North Country Community College. For many years, Pat was a homemaker. In addition to raising her six kids, she kept busy baking, sewing, gardening, painting, reading and traveling.

Pat was an accomplished artist, with a talent for painting landscapes and portraits. Her creative work earned her numerous awards and recognition. She was deeply devoted Catholic, attending Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Schroon Lake and later North American Martyrs Chapel in Hudson Falls. One of her cherished weekly traditions was going to brunch with friends after church.

In addition to her parents and husband, Pat was predeceased by her son, John Wilber; her sister, Virginia “Ginger” Lattourette; and her precious angel great-grandchildren, Lydia and Logan.

Left to cherish Pat’s memory are her loving children: Elizabeth “BJ” (Chris) Eisenhardt of Queensbury; Patty Wilber and her fiancé, Rocco, of Crossville, TN; Wendy (Luke) Carr of Escondido, CA; Mary (John) Lewis of Vermontville, NY; and Rebecca “Becky” (Kyle) Brown of Saratoga Springs.

She is also survived by her brother, Raymond “Rick” (Sue) Comish of Warrensburg, and her sister, Linda (Bob) Williford of Melbourne, FL. Pat was a proud grandmother to 14 grandchildren: Jessica (Uriah) Peacock, Katie (Eric) Malmberg, Jhonni (Ramon) Carr of San Diego, CA, Shannon Emmons of Saranac Lake, Tessa Wilber of Rio Rico, AZ, Jamie (Dane) Morton of Lake Luzerne, Jerisse Carr of San Diego, CA, Gabriel (Alexis) Emmons of Saranac Lake, Jared Wilber of San Diego, CA, Lucas Wilber of Gig Harbor, WA, Jacob (Shawna) Carr of Escondido, CA, and Jonah, Alex, and Drake Brown, all of Saratoga Springs.

She was also blessed with 11 great-grandchildren: Micah, Noah, Dylan, Gabriel, Declan, Matylda, Silas, Kodiac, Lucia, Carson, and Camden.
