
Obituary of Colleen Patricia Flewelling
LAKE GEORGE: Colleen (Blair) Flewelling, 81, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025, at the Granville Center Nursing Home.
Born on August 4,1943, to Samuel T. Blair and Dorothy Mae (Smith) Blair, Colleen was raised in Lake George, New York, and graduated from Lake George High School in 1962. In 1973, she married the late Bradford Dale Flewelling on November 30th, beginning a joyful partnership marked by dancing, laughter, and many winters spent together in Florida.
Colleen worked at the Lake George Price Chopper before managing a day care center for many years, where she provided care for many children in her community. She was affectionately known as “Grandma George” by her grandchildren, cherishing special moments with them at the Lake George arcade and on memorable trips to Disney World. Later in life, Colleen found love again, meeting Dave Close in 2010. Together, they shared 11 wonderful years filled with motorcycle rides and sunny winters in Florida.
Colleen was predeceased by her beloved parents, her husband Bradford, her brother Wayne T. Blair, and sisters Sandra L. Albarran, Donna M. Blair, and Darlene A. Robinson.
She is survived by her daughter Colleen Pamela (Pam) Regner and husband Frank of Moreau; her son Bradford Keith Flewelling of Warrensburg; her grandchildren Daniel Regner and wife Emily of Aurora, Colorado, Michaela Oligny and husband Brandon of Buffalo, and Gaia Eletto-Flewelling; and her great-grandson, Aiden Michael Regner. She is also remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Colleen’s warmth, humor, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends are invited to visit with Colleen’s family on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg, NY. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., with interment to take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Birch Avenue, Lake George, NY.
