Obituary of Eddilyn J. Daab
LAKE GEORGE: “Eddi” Daab, “37” of Harrington Hill Rd. gained her wings May 1, 2025. She spent her final moments in her beloved home surrounded by family and her loved ones.
She was born on January 27th 1954 to Edward and Winifred Guilder of Corinth, NY. She grew up in Corinth with her sister Arlinda (Guilder) Birdsall and brother Kenneth (Butch) Guilder. Eddi spent her time enjoying the Adirondacks and all the fun life had to offer. In her journeys, she met the love of her life and married “her bestie,” Don “Dabber” Daab on May 10, 1980.
Eddi enjoyed living life to the fullest, which meant traveling, being a social butterfly, and giving love to all that crossed her path. Anyone who knew Eddi knew that she was one of a kind. She was the life of the party with a one-of-a-kind smile and sense of humor. She loved to laugh and “party like a rockstar”. She enjoyed energy work and healing with the art of Reiki. Her love for crystals and healing was a passion she shared with her two granddaughters, Ella and Taylor Daab. Above all things, she was passionate about her role as “Mimi”, her love for her family, and her home. Although too short, she lived her life dancing like no one was watching, singing like nobody was listening, and living every day as if it were her last while always being dressed to the nines and accessorized.
Eddilyn is predeceased by her parents Edward and Winifred Guilder, brother Kenneth “Butch” Guilder, loving husband, Donald “Dabber” Daab, and her dearest friend Kevin Jenks.
She is survived by her favorite son, Noah Daab, significant other Amanda, her granddaughters, Ella and Taylor Daab, bonus grandson Lincoln, and her daughter, Auriel Daab. She is also survived by her sister, Arlinda, and husband, Thomas (Tuck) Birdsall, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Special thanks to High Peak Hospice for making her transition to the next life one of peace and allowing her to make it home to spend her last few days. Many thanks to her close friends who joined together to prepare her for her final homecoming and supported the family in holding one hell of a celebration of life.
Donations in her name may be made to High Peaks Hospice, 1247 Dix Ave, Hudson Falls, NY 12839.
A celebration of life will be held on May 10, 2025, at Ashes Pub and Grill in Warrensburg, NY, at 3 pm for anyone who would like to join in sharing stories and memories of our dear Eddi.
