Obituary of Gloria J. Farrell

WARRENSBURG:  Gloria J. Farrell, 64 years old of Warrensburg, NY passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025 at Glens Falls Hospital. 

Gloria was born on December 10, 1960 in Syracuse, NY to the late Adrew and Wilhelmina (Pierce) Bartlett. 

Gloria worked at Warrensburg Laundry for over 10 years and also delivered newspapers for The Post Star for more than a decade. Above all, she was a devoted stay-at-home mom. A true homebody, Gloria loved spending time at home playing cards and games, and cherishing every moment with her loving family

Besides her parents, Gloria is predeceased by her first husband Floyd Planty; siblings Carol Hall, Catherine Needham, and Andrew Bartlett; and her son Floyed Planty Jr.

Left to cherish Gloria’s memory are her loving husband, William Farrell; her daughters, April McBride and her fiancé Aaron Brown, and Amanda Planty; her grandchildren, Rhonda McBride and her fiancé Oliver Kenerson, and Nate and Aiden Planty; her great-grandson, Owen Kenerson, with another great-grandchild expected this December. She is also survived by her sisters, Joan (Bruce) Hathway, Cindy (Jim) Mahler, Laurie (Dan) Vielie, and Patricia Bartlett and her companion Jerry Perry; her brother, Ricky Bartlett; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Gloria’s name to the C.R. Wood Cancer Center, 100 Park Street, Glens Falls, NY 12801.

Friends and family are invited to call on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Alexander Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg, NY. A memorial service will follow immediately after the calling hours.
