Wanda and Family,
So sorry to hear of Al's passing. Al was one of the first to welcome us to Bolton when we moved here 6 years ago.
We always enjoyed meeting him in town and at the transfer station. Al always had a kind word or had a funny comment every time we saw him. We will miss his generous, kind heart.

I just learned of Al's passing. I'm sad. Al was a great observer, not just of games, but also at the game of life and I don't think much got past him.
I had a heart attack myself seven years ago and Al would always admonish me to "take care of myself". Which isn't unusual, but it was the way he did it, with such genuineness and openhearted spirit that set Al apart.
You can tell that these simple yet rare traits were perceived and received as an honor by his many, many contacts and friends.
Thanks to the family for lending this uniquely generous man to the town of Bolton.

Our deepest sympathy to your family. We were so sorry to hear of Al’s passing. He was always so kind, helpful and friendly with a big smile whenever we would see him. Going to the transfer station was something I always looked forward to because it was a chance to say hello to my good friend Al and talk about sports and our favorite hockey (Flyers) teams. Al always ended our conversations with - make sure you say hello to the misses if she wasn’t with me. Going to the transfer station will never be the same but great memories of a good man Al. Rest In Peace Al. Mike & Holly Dansbury

Dear Wanda and Family,
I looked at Al as my "landfill angel" because he always had a smile and and came to my aid each time I pulled up to the window.
Many times he surprised me with a "find" of some kind of an angel or religious statue that i have in many places in my home and on my deck!!
His kindness and eagerness to be helpful was never missed on anyone.
Where ever I ran into him he had a smile, kind word, or out reach of help if needed.
Often he spoke about you, Wanda, and his kids and grand kids with love and pride
.
The world is a better place because of his actions and we should all pay that forward in his name.
His presence will be missed in Bolton Landing but his actions will be remembered by many people.
May God give you and your Family His peace and comfort thru family and friends.
Sincerely,
Dawn Faller

My most sincere condolences to the family of Al. I never knew him by any other name for he was the friendly face that greeted me each time I went to the transfer station. So many people come and go but I will always remember Al. He had a sweet smile and he always helped me get my stuff to the right place. Those brief moments left an indelible image on my heart. I know that I am not alone in my sentiments. Whenever people talked about the transfer station they always said the Al was the nicest man. I am so sorry for your loss, I hardly knew him but I knew he was a loving and kind soul. Rest In Peace Al.

Al and Wanda have always been like a second set of parents to myself and my sisters. From the never exhausted knowledge of baseball tips for his rising baseball stars to the fastest collect calls ever to tell him where to pick us up from the memories will never end. You will be missed but never forgotten. Thanks for who you were and the memories. Lots of love for you and your family.
