Obituary of Earle C. Dibble

Earle C. Dibble, 86, was welcomed into Jesus’ arms Wednesday, February 20, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.
Born January 6, 1927 in New Rochelle, he was the son of the late Earl and Hazel (Norwig) Dibble.
Earle enlisted in the United States Navy in 1944, where he honorably served his country in the Pacific during WWII.
He married Laurona Lee Walter on September 27, 1952.
Earle was a retired post master in Delanson, where the couple raised their two children. He was active in his community; coaching and refereeing several sports, including little league, and was a member of the Delanson Fire Co. and Duanesburg Ambulance Corps, as well as the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Elaine Takach and Walter Dibble.
Earle leaves behind his beloved wife of 60 years, Laurona Dibble, formerly of Thurman; a son, Thomas E. Dibble & wife, Teresa of Tampa, FL; a daughter, Lori Fealey & husband, Michael of Cleveland, NY; two brothers, Robert and Howard Dibble; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will take place at 11:30 am, Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 80 Main St., South Glens Falls.
Burial will take place at a later date in Reynolds Cemetery, Thurman.
