So many things we never got to do
So many conversations we never got through
I feel lost and empty now without you.
You once told me that when we die our soul just flies away..
I wanted to chase your soul, so that I could have time with you even just a day.
You were my second Mom, you taught me how to stand on my own.
Now that you’re gone, I feel as though I can’t do it alone.
I'm trying so hard to see things through and become the person you wanted me to be
Sometimes it’s just so hard, especially without the support I always had from you .
I'd give anything if I could just talk to you once more.
All the things you taught me, all the pain we shared, the laughs we had, I will hold those memories in my heart.
Now you’re gliding under God’s precious wings
I hope He’s taking good care of you because now you’re in His place.
I hope all your worries and all your fears have left your face and that you are smiling walking hand in hand with the man you never stopped caring for as mistakes are far behind.
I never got so say goodbye to either of you that is the worst part
But I know that when you both left secretly you said goodbye to my heart.
I may not have told you enough, But I love you always.

Dear JoAnn, It's so hard to believe that your mom, who delivered such a touching eulogy when my sister, Vivienne, died in January, has now, also. passed away. I feel so much your loss, so unexpected! Vivienne found so much comfort in her friendship with your mother and she often, lovingly, mentuoned you to me. I hope you can find comfort in precious memories. Viola Woodruff Opdahl

Pastor Dawn will always be to me T.H.E. - The Holy Equipper. In Warrensburg she encouraged us to deepen our faith through Bible study and prayer and use our gifts and talents. She was a gifted Bible study leader and we learned so much along the way in the way of background information while studying the Word.
I remember fondly our training/trip for Disciple, our VBS times together, her collection of manger scenes at Christmas, Friend Circle dinners, UMW meetings, her love of butterflies, how much she loved JoAnn.
She now joins our friend Vivienne in Heaven and although she left us way too soon, we celebrate her entry into the Kingdom. I hope she was able to take her list of things to ask God with her.
I will miss her, and Ole, Tracy, and I send our condolences to JoAnn and her family. God speed, Dawn.

It is with great sadness that I heard of Dawn's passing. During her early years in Troy Conference we visited often about her commissioning and being ordained. I recall the day she sat on my deck in New Hampshire and we talked about our faith and our process of ordination. We worked together on the Walk to Emmaus. She will be missed. Love and blessings, Tom Shanklin

Dawn's love for the Lord Jesus is WHO she is. In 1984, we had MANY hours and late night hours as she would come to our parsonage at the Lyndonville, Vt. UMC and just chat, laugh, and munch! She was especially in love with our son Wesley age 17 months, and would always bring him a matchbox car when she dropped in. She made us feel very welcome in the northeast kingdom,as we had just transferred from the Louisiana Conference.
A truly great lady!

Our deepest sympathies and prayers to Dawn's family in this time; but also rejoicing that Dawn, as a child of Christ, was called home to His Kingdom and will be there for us to meet again.
She was a true blessing and a joy, a real sharp 'cookie' with a great sense of humor (dry) as I got the opportunity to know Dawn through working at King's, and then taking the reigns of the second grade she handed to me. Whenever I had a question, she was right there to help...with a smile and a sense of humor.
Thank you, Dawn, for gracing many of us with your legacy, and for raising up a wonderful young woman of God in JoAnn. You will be missed, but we will see you again.
Love,
Jenn, Steve, Declan, Alex and Morgan

May peace and love surround you even as she has made her most important flight to her beloved Lord.

JoAnn,
I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. You were (and still are!) her greatest pride and joy. She did an awesome job raising you :) I am a blessed woman for having known your mom, and for being able to know you (and Mike!), too.
I pray that God's comfort will surround you as you live life to the fullest, and that you know, beyond a shadow of doubt, that you are loved more than you will ever know---by your mom, God, and countless people still here on earth.
Love, Mitch

Butterflies are free. Butterflies have been transformed. Dawn's favorite symbol. Now she can fly with an intensity of butterfly beauty and amazing color that no one can imagine. She has taught so many so much. We at the King's school will never forget her love, intelligence and humor. What a great teacher! Her daughter will always be loved and cared for by the Kings School family. Love and comfort, Jo. Peace and healing in every butterfly you see. Love Mrs. J

Oh Jo we are so sad for the loss of your mom. She married me, Baptized my sons, and prayed for me and gave me counsel during some pretty dark times.
Your mom delivered messages in a way so my youngest Jack could understand and that I as well could understand, so we could all understand God's word.
All were welcome with your mom and Jo while she loved all of us, you were the light of her life.
I know she is home and I know she will always be with you and each of us.
Jo please call any of us should you ever need anything. Never forget that your mom was a guide for many.

Dear JoAnn,
You are in our hearts and prayers.
It is amazing how the LORD connects people. It's hard to believe how long I have known your mom and then you. My Aunt Mildred Balosie, you may remember...you were young...was the longest standing member of your mom's church in Warrensburg. Then you went to CCS and King's School with my boys, Nick and Ben.
Many will remember your Mom as an awesome Pastor which was so true, but I will remember her more for being a Mom that loved her LORD and her daughter with all of her heart, soul, and mind.
How grateful I am for the Perry family that will continue to love you here on earth in honor of your Mom.
You will continue to be in the prayers of our family.
Fondly thinking of you,
Carol & Carey Sykes-Bowen,

Pastor Dawn was a warm and caring person that often visited my friend in Fort Edward as Betsy was ill and not doing well. We'd share time in prayer and then in laughter. We did this on a few different occassions. My memory of her is one that is Bright and full of Joy. May her family find comfort in their memories of happy times. We here on Earth have lost a living angel.
