My deepest sympathy to all. I'm Sandra's childhood friend. It was a very long time since I had the pleasure of Mr. Monforte's company but I remember him fondly. I still can hear his laugh & I can see his jelly donuts. I know he will be deeply missed.

To the Monforte family:
I am so sorry to hear about Ed. He was a very special man and will be greatly missed. I remember as a kid going to our cabin in Warrensburg with my family each weekend. Our highlight was going to the Spruce Mountain Bakery to get cream filled donuts and crumb buns. Ed always had a smile on his face and made everyone feel welcome. He was a very generous person, because I think we came home with more than we went for. My family will surely miss him and his delicious baked goods. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
