Obituary of Auguste M. Beaudet

Newcomb: Auguste M. “Charlie” Beaudet, 91, formerly of Newcomb, passed away peacefully, Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Adirondack Tri-County Health and Rehabilitation Facility in North Creek. Born November 15, 1921 in Lotbiniere, Quebec, Canada, he was the son of Paul and Jeanette (LaClaire) Beaudet. He moved down from Canada in 1947 and married Lena Blanchard on October 16, 1948 in Long Lake. Charlie worked for National Lead in Tahawus for 38 years before retiring. He was a communicant of St. Therese RC Church in Newcomb and his favorite pastimes included tending to his vegetable garden, and hunting and fishing. In addition to his beloved wife, Lena, who passed away on April 15, 1991 after 43 years, his four sisters, Auriele Narbonne, Mariele Beaudet, Lucie Falstrault, Gabriele Leclerc and two brothers, Edmond and Jean Charles Beaudet ; son in law, Stanley Moulton have also predeceased him. He leaves behind his five children, Paul Beaudet and his companion, Sandy of East Berne, Judy Amell and her husband, Glenn of North Creek, Jeanette Harrington and her husband, John of Newcomb, Gail Moulton of Indian Lake, and Charles “Boomer” Beaudet and his wife, Crystal of Hudson Falls; his longtime companion, Solanges Laliberte; sisters and brothers, Pauline Tanquay, Jacqueline Tancrede, Clemence Bouffard, Aline Dupre, Claire Frechette, Therese Lapointe, Marcelle Pellerin and Laurent Beaudet; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call on his family from 1-4 pm Tuesday at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg. A funeral service to celebrate his life will follow the visitation at 4 pm with the Rev. Peter Berg, Pastor of St. Therese RC Church in Newcomb officiating. Rite of committal will take place in St. Therese Cemetery, Newcomb later this spring.
