Charlotte Springer, 76, of Moffitt Rd., passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Glens Falls Hospital following a brief illness with her loving family by her side.
Born October 21, 1936 in Wevertown, she was the daughter of the late William and Beatrice (Washburn) Moffitt.
Charlotte was a lifelong resident of the area.
Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, berry picking and gardening. Upon other things, she will be forever remembered as a strong willed, independent woman.
She was employed by the Holiday Inn in Lake George for 29 years until retiring in 2006 to care for her mother.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers, Vincent, Herbert, George and Hollis Moffitt, and a grandson, Michael John Baker.
She leaves behind her children, Herbert Moffitt and his wife, Theresa of Queensbury, and Rose Baker and her husband, Mike of Wevertown; brothers, Carson Moffitt of Glens Falls, Roger Moffitt and his wife, Linda of Wevertown, and Lester Moffitt of Wevertown; her grandchildren, Joseph Fiorino, Bradley William Moffitt, and Dallas Marshall Moffitt, Thomas Gardner Baker, James Edward Baker, Richard William Baker, and Heather Marie Baker. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
Friends may call on Charlotte’s family from 1 to 3 pm, Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main Street, Warrensburg.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will follow the visitation at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
Spring Interment will take place in Bates Cemetery, Johnsburg.
