William “Bill” Ward Miller Jr. passed away, surrounded by his family, on November 22nd, 2023.
Bill, lovingly known as Pops to his family, was born to Edna and William Miller Sr., on November 30th, 1949 in Schenectady, NY.
He went on to attend Paul Smith’s and Cornell Universities becoming a Fisheries Biologist and working his career at the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. During his
life he enjoyed fishing at quiet fishing spots and training dogs to join him in hunting. He also enjoyed working with computers and wrote computer programs, as well as authored a digital book on
writing computer programming. He enjoyed time with his grandchildren and sharing moments with his family.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn Miller, as well as his sons, William (Stacy) Miller, and Joseph (Julia) Miller. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Alexandria Miller, Shane Miller,
Carter Miller, Eli Miller, and Hunter Miller. Bill is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well.
He was predeceased by his parents, William Ward Miller Sr. and Edna Miller as well as his sister Marjorie Page.
At Bill’s request, there are no calling hours or funeral services scheduled.
A celebration of life will be conducted at the convenience of his family.
